As you will all be well aware, there have been many historical books written about our own and very well-known Garendon Park, set in the heart of the beautiful Charnwood Forest. However, many are a little on the dry side and indeed written in old English also. Therefore, in an effort to bring the past alive for future generations to enjoy and understand a little better, I, who was fortunate enough to live on this great estate for a great many years, have set out to simplify the relevant facts in a more light-hearted vein. Hopefully it will give many answers to those who might be curious enough to question the origins of this once fine, old magnificent country estate.
